ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

The educational path of the degree course in Building Engineering – Architecture provides, starting from the fourth year, the acquisition of additional knowledge, chosen by the student, through participation in professionalizing courses, workshops, seminars, study trips. For these activities, possibly also aimed at the preparation of the degree thesis, three University Credits (CFU) are recognized, in line with the path outlined by art. 46 of Directive 2005/36 / EC. In agreement with public administrations and professional associations, the degree program periodically organizes specific initiatives that offer students the opportunity to approach the world of work and to broaden their knowledge to specialized disciplinary areas. Recent experiences include:
– the design workshops held in Morra de Sanctis (2014), Presenzano (2014), Lacco Ameno Ischia (2015), Casamicciola Ischia (2016), Forio d’Ischia (2017), Nola (2018);
– training seminars regarding parametric design in the field of design;
– the cycle of seminars “Safety Fridays”, organized in collaboration with INAIL and the CFS Training and Safety Center of Naples with the recognition of the title of Safety Coordinator in the design and execution of the works. In view of the recent difficulties in carrying out teaching activities in person, the degree course has organized seminars in telematic mode for students who have reached the end of their training course on some multidisciplinary in-depth topics in the field of building engineering and architecture.

The seminars covered:
– Parametric design for digital fabrication (prof. Amleto Picerno Ceraso),
– Design competitions (prof. Francesco Viola),
– Structural efficiency in the design of skyscrapers (Prof. Elena Mele),
– Post – covid common spaces (Prof. Francesca Bruni),
– Hygiene in construction (prof. Francesco Polverino and prof. Lorenzo Diana),
– Waterproofing systems (prof. Francesco Polverino and prof. Lorenzo Diana),
– Mortars and cement conglomerates in building techniques (prof. Roberto Castelluccio and prof. Veronica Vitiello).
