Prof. Angelo Luongo, Director of the Department of Civil Engineering, Construction-Architecture,
Environmental (DICEAA) of the University of L’Aquila, and Prof. Renato Morganti,
Scientific Head of the initiative, are pleased to announce the 7th edition of the Zordan Prize.
The award, whose theme is “Engineering and architecture: design and construction”, is aimed not only at
young graduates in Building Engineering-Architecture, but also to recent graduates in Architecture,
Civil Engineering, Building Engineering and professionals engaged in the field of architectural and structural design.
Therefore, the award is divided into two sections: each of them includes two subsections that are dedicated respectively to degree theses and completed works.
The aim of the initiative is to enhance the merit of young graduates and designers through
the inclusion in a high-profile professional circuit for the former and sums of money for the others,
as well as activating new synergies with the public and private institutions to which the subjects belong
hosts and those taking part in the initiative.
Two internships are planned, both lasting six months and intended for graduates in Building Engineering-
Architecture and Architecture. The first will be carried out at an authoritative architecture and
engineering international office; the second will be carried out at one of the Italian engineering companies
registered with the OICE, permanent partner of the award.
